Allowance for relocation - § 53a

Allowance for relocation for work is a compensation of cost part connected with relocation.  The allowance for relocation is a compensation of a part of provable cost related to relocation of a job seeker from the place of his/her principal residence in connection with job finding, if the place of new principal residence on the area of the Slovak Republic to which the job seeker is relocated, removed from the original place of principal residence minimum 50 km. 

Allowance for relocation is provided to a person being job seeker registered in the job seeker register for minimum 3 months and who was removed from the job seeker register because of origin of labor relation or a similar relation except for labor relation based on agreements related to works performed out of labor relation, if the person requests such allowance in writing.

Allowance for relocation because of work may be requested by person not later than 12 months from the change of  his/her principal residence in connection with job found.

Allowance for relocation because of work is provided bi-yearly simply namely in amount of maximum 1327,76 Eur.

If spouses request the allowance for relocation because of work who fulfill determined conditions, the relevant  Office of Labor, Social Matters and Family provides this allowance to one of the spouses only.
